Phase 1: Getting Started (20-30 minutes)Find resin + compound get a bunch (Full backpack) drop at site
Make a 3-4 O2 filters to start, make 1 sm generator, use as needed. Make a starting tunnel to get to the mantle, use the free landing pad tethers for the path down. Go around underground and find endless research samples. Find additional resin and power cells to keep going.
🚨 TIP: Have a few laterite on you and get ~400 research per drop pod.
You could likely go on forever, but just die eventually because you can get research points much faster later. Gather at least 4500, shouldn’t take more than 15-20 minutes.
Unlock: Solid fuel thruster 500 Smelter 250 Soil Centrifuge 750 Large platform B 500 Small shuttle 1500
Wide Mod 1000Total 4500
Use Dirt for resources, build a few large platform Bs. Get at least smelter and soil centrifuge on Large Platform Bs. Make generators for power, organic is very easy to get
Find aluminum (laterite) underground, get 5-8. Get 5-8 zinc (sphalerite).Make furnace and soil centrifuge on Large Platform Bs. Start using dirt for material, wide mod fills up 8-10 cannisters in less than a minute, use tethers for ‘infinite underground power’. You should have easy amounts of compound, resin, and anything else.
Phase 2: The TRIP (30 minutes)Build small shuttle and 2 thrusters. (4 aluminum 2 ammonium), load with med storage. Bring 5-8 resin as well as a small loaded generator and a cannister. Go to Desolo and get 5-8 wolframite (tungsten). Then to go Vesania. Grab 5-8 lithium. Then go to glacio and get 5-8 iron on the surface. Leave it at the ship and then:
On Glacio – Repeat the infinite running around process that was done in Phase 1. Avoid ALL flora, it wants to kill you. You should get ~2000 research points per minute on average. You should be able to get 30k in around 20 minutes and then head back.
Phase 3: Passively Overpowered (Mid to End Game)
Come back and unlock:
Wind 300
Buggy 1500 Medium shredder 1250
Chem Lab 1600
Atmospheric Condenser 2200
Medium Battery – 3750 Medium soil cannister 2500 Trade platform 2500 (1 exo) Large rover 5000 (2 exo) Large shuttle 5000 (2 exo) Drill strength 1 2500
Drill mod 1 – 1000
Automated Arm 1500
Total: ~30k
** Unlock these later on after you passively get research, you cannot build them without gasses which will take time to get anyway.
** Hydrazine thruster 3750 (1 exo) ** RTG 12500 ** Paver 5000 ** Large storage silo B 7500
Total: ~30k
Smelt all the materials you got. Build as many medium batteries as you can and also tons of small turbines with dirt. Roughly 3 turbines per med battery should give you plenty of power for mid-end game. 5-6 medium batteries and a handful of wind turbines should get you through most of the game with no power issues until you have many RTGs.
Ultimate Scrap/Research Setup:
Platform B w/ Soil Centrifuge and 2 small printers printing cannisters on repeat into a small hole. Auto arm on medium platform aimed at hole feeding cannisters into med shredder on lg plat b. Put a research chamber on that for constant research and med storage, then a trade platform next to it. Each full soil cannister is 300 research points. A full md soil is 7200. You’ll have more scrap than you need with this setup, it researches at 120/m. Compared to Astronium which is much harder to get, this is pretty close. Build tons of research chambers to go through it very fast. You can also expand on this setup with large silos, more automated arms, etc. etc. Easy EXO Chips Make buggy and run around looking for dynamite on small wrecks. Turn on compass drive around and blow up caches for chips. Use GPS to find base again. Shouldn’t need more than 6 for now. To get more of them later, just trade Astronium for it as you’ll have more than you know what to do with.
Easy Gas (Helium, Methane, Argon) Put Atmospheric Condenser on lg shuttle. Helium and methane on atrox. Argon glacio. Fly to those planets and collect a bunch and then leave.
MEGA RIG
This rover you can build pretty early in the game will help you get easy resources and research and also be used to very quickly get to the core of all planets.Phase 1: To build the ultimate game simplifying rig for cores and dirt and resource gathering, build a large rover with a drill strength 1. Keep at least one med dirt cannister on board. To make it a dirt rig, load it up with tons of med dirt cannisters. With one drill, seat, and power, you can store 5 med soil cannisters. Each cannister is 24 scrap which could be traded or researched for 7200 points. It takes roughly 1 minute to fill one up. So a 5 minute drive could get you 36000 points or 120 scrap.
Phase 2: Add a paver and an RTG (also upgrading drills for later planets), this rig becomes a very simple way to get to the core of every planet. Essentially you fly to the planet, land near the gateway chamber power it (you can use a “Tower of Power” which is a medium silo loaded with small batteries which is 24u/s to easily power the gateways), and then drill down to the core with the paver. Stop just before the core and manually create a path down or use rockets as gravity gets wonky for vehicles down near the core and you don’t want to lose your rig.
Random Tips:
Method for easy research points (COMPLETELY PASSIVE):
Set an atmospheric condenser and a research chamber on a Large T-Platform, set the condenser to gather nitrogen indefinitely and it will send it to the research chamber when it’s ‘full’ (5 units). This is slower at only 80 research points per minute. To expand this you can just make many more of them, but they require a lot of power. Keep these on their own grid so they don’t drain your base.
